These watch bands look like just what you need to make your iWatch match your outfit no matter what you wear. That was what possessed me to buy several different ones from multiple sellers. Unfortunately, I think that there is a design flaw (for all of them, not just this brand) that made getting the watch on my wrist with the new band way more difficult than it should be. The problem seems to stem from the fact that once the band and watch face are attached, it was impossible for me to make it so the band had a large enough circumference to get over my hand while also being small enough to be tight on my wrist so it is not hanging loosely and moving around my wrist. The way it is made requires you to open up the circumference to get it over your hand, but then you have to tighten up the band so the circumference is small enough to keep the watch in on place on your wrist. No matter how hard I tried, on several of the bands, I was unable to change the circumference by tightening the band using only my right hand (yes, it is my dominant hand). Now admittedly, I could just be unskilled in the art of single handedly moving the metal piece to tighten the band. I don’t think of myself as someone who cannot do basic tasks, but it’s possible that others may have the knack and I do not. However, after the number of times I tried and in so many different ways, I came to the conclusion that it is just a design flaw.I was set to return them except I was a day late and the return window had closed the day before. That put me into the position of having to come up with a workaround or else donate the bands to a charity. The issue would be moot, of course if I had a partner or roommate living with me. I could just ask that person to tighten the band for me. Since I live with only a black lab, I needed to figure out another option. What I came up with wasn’t exactly easy to do, but at least it worked. I set the band to a size that looked like it would fit perfectly around my wrist once it was on the watch face. Then I pushed one side of the band into the space provided on the side of the watch face. I then took the watch and placed it on my wrist, while simultaneously holding it tight against my body. (You could use the table top instead of your body, but I was concerned about scratching the face so I chose the first idea; holding it against my body while at the same time using my right hand to stretch the band around to reach the other side of the watch face. Then I slid the end of the band into the space on the watch face made for that purpose. It worked! It was a bit of a struggle, I won’t lie. I am old enough that I do have some arthritis in my hands so it definitely wasn’t the most comfortable way of doing it. But in the end, I got it on and was able to wear it without having the watch moving in circles around my wrist. So I dropped two stars for this review, because I think the idea is a great one (making an inexpensive band to be interchangeable with a watch made for a diverse audience); and the bands themselves seem to be well made and durable and will likely hold up for quite some time (I don’t know this to be fact but after looking them over, I decided that they looked well made and not cheap.). The value is certainly there as the cost of getting additional watch bands is small. That was why I gave it the 2 stars. All in all I would have to say that I might recommend these to friends or family but I would do so with reservations. Everyone needs to decide for themselves whether it is something that they want to deal with. Who knows, maybe in another couple of months or years, someone will design one that has an easier method for securing the watch on one’s wrist.
