Simple to read dial!Watch face is waaaaay too big but seems to be built with quality. Had to return simply because of the size of watch face.It's an awesome look!I actually love this watch! I wanted to give it 5 stars but there were some big functionality issues.The Good:First, let me say I never write reviews but I'm such a fan of this watch that I felt the need to say something. I'm picky about my watches and was in need of an all black watch. I looked around for almost two years waiting to find the right one until I came across Nixon's Corporal SS. The size was perfect, the face wasn't to big or small, it had some nice weight to it and the design looks smooth and a little aggressive at the same time plus it comes in a million other colors and finishes. In the beginning its worth $200The Bad:The only problem I had with this watch was the band. The materials used to hold the watch together seem too weak for the weight of the watch. I received my watch in September of 2017. I didn't wear it everyday but frequently, about four months later some time towards the end of January I reached for my suitcase at the airport and the band just gives out and my watch falls to the ground. yes, it was pretty embarrassing. I actually ran into someone else with a silver version who switched his band to a leather one because he was tired of similar problems with the band. C'mon Nixon, it looks amazing but a watch has one main job...Stay put while keeping the time. I actually loved the watch so much I was planning on collecting it in a few other colors. The band being the same color and finish as the face was a cool factor that led to my purchase but it doesn't matter if I cant wear it. I haven't decided if I all give this watch another shot. I figured $200 would have gotten me a lot more longevity than four months.my bf had been wanting the ss corporal for a while now but its 2 bills through Nixon. When i found it on amazon i immediately bought it. the watch itself came in perfect condition. the amazon packaging could have been better, it had wiggle room inside the box. still, nothing was broken. the face is hard to see at night and the arms need to be exposed to light in order to glow, normal day exposure wont light them up enough to see at night. its still a fantastic watch, i ordered him a large and he had 1 1/2 links removed. fits perfectlyI originally ordered this watch as a high school graduation gift for my little cousin. I wanted something durable, modern, and versatile. This Corporal was perfect. It works great for a younger guy who is being introduced to wearing watches. It isn't outrageously expensive and you can always trust Nixon to put out a dependable watch. This can be worn with just about anything and look great.I opened the box just to check out the box and immediately thought about KEEPING TI FOR MYSELF! The copper dials are so much more impressive in person. Trust me, in person, this watch will not disappoint. I even ordered one for myself afterwards! Guess what...? The price DROPPED in the 5 day span between orders and Amazon even reimbursed me the difference. Great watch for any age group. Truly different industrial look that will wear to become unique. My go-to casual/everyday/default watch.THEY TELL YOU THAT THE ITEM HAS 2-YEARS WARRANTY. NIXON WHO MAKE THE WATCHES DON'T ACCEPT WARRANTY FROM THIS COMPANY! THEY THEN SAY THEY WILL COVER IT BUT YOU WILL NEED A $30 CHECK WHILE WAITING 4-6 WEEKS TO RECEIVE IT BACK FROM AMERICA!!!''We apologize that Nixon will not honor their warranty. Watch is beautiful and a little darker in person. It's a men's watch and I am a woman who was looking for a nice oversized masculine watch and this is perfect! I'm very pleased with the watch and the transaction.
